Unilever has faced criticism from human rights organizations and Palestinian rights supporters due to its ongoing business activities in Israel. One of the key controversies was regarding its subsidiary brand, Ben & Jerry’s, which in 2021 announced it would stop selling its products in the occupied Palestinian territories. However, Unilever transferred the business rights of the brand in Israel to a local company in 2022, allowing product sales to continue.
